Gamer Bio:

Good ol' bio time:

I've always been something of a gamer, whether I knew it or not. Being female didn't come to mind when I played the local duck hunt game on my first brand new Nintendo - you know, the older one. By that time they were coming out with Nintendo original - where I took up the controls of mario and never looked back.

It was fun; I don't ever remember doing it for competition or prestige nor did I have to worry about that back then. So I just went up in consoles from there, from the Sega, nintendo 64 and by the time I was playing the PS2 I started to realize that the odd looks I was getting at game stores wasn't because of how my mom curried to just buying me games. It was natural, but for the world it wasn't.

That didn't stop me. I've played just about every interesting game that came my way, Zone of Enders I beat within three days straight [literally] and games like Metal Gear Solid mattered most.

I'll admit I felt a bit betrayed when PS3 announced that they would be charging 600 dollars for a system I knew would depreciate in time. So I got on board with Xbox 360 and still found myself something of a lone wolf. And that's when I realized just how rare girl gamers came to be.

I'm a nursing-student so I do realize that as much as I dedicate my time to studying, the field I chose is entirely different from what I probably would have went for. My family use to tell me to go into game design and I took a course, only to realize the ratio of 1:30 was pretty bad. I didn't really care, but I didn't like the idea of having to be an independant contractor to get my own jobs. I like steady income considering the background I raised up in wasn't a silver spoon in my mouth.

That being said, turns out I'm a pretty good gamer - and even found my own group to finally run with ~ Weee!
