After putting off buying and HDTV for well over a year, I finally bought one. I had to wait nearly two weeks for the thing to arrive in the store, but the wait was well worth it.
The only game I had played in HD up to this point had been Guitar Hero 3. Since the only thing you really tend to look at in the game are the notes, I never noticed the better graphics. When I got it home and fired up the 360 on it, I was blown away. Graphics have never been that important to me, but I admit it: 720p is amazing. I was stunned by how much better the Xbox dashboard looks compared to my SDTV. I can actually see Nathan Explosion's eyes! (my gamerpic) Also, I had thought that difficult parts in songs in Rock Band 2 were labeled with little hearts, which was kind of funny. Upon viewing them in HD, they do not appear to be hearts, but like, satan heads or something.
During last night's game night, we played Call of Duty 4, and I swear that this TV makes me play much better. It is a lot easier to detect targets, and I can actually focus much more clearly when using iron sights. I started using a silencer instead of RDS after a few games, because it seemed like the iron sights were no longer a drawback.
The only complaint I have is having to calibrate the lag for rhythm games. I spent a good half hour or so trying to calibrate Rock Band 2, and it still feels a little off. Other than that though, I love it.

Posted On Sep 18 2008sounds awesome, but im perfectly fine with my SDTV, the graphics on it look pretty amazing already cause it's just a really nice SDTV, although i wouldn't mind having an HD, but i don't plan on buying one until way further down the road
