  1. Dynafire Finally Made The PS3 Leap

    As I'm sure all of you are aware, Sony announced the PS3 slim on Tuesday, and along with it, a $100 price drop. That was enough to push me over the fence on the PS3. I reserved a PS3 slim through Gamestop yesterday, and paid the sucker off there and then. It won't be in my hands until sometime next week, but I technically now own a PlayStation 3.

    Currently, the only game I have for it is Valkyria Chronicles (which I am dying to play by the way), but I plan to pick up Metal Gear Solid 4, Battlefield 1943, and possibly LittleBigPlanet. More will come in time. Might also get Guitar Hero World Tour so I can play with johnbiz and bigneen, but I need to figure out what I'm gonna do about the guitar situation. I have PS2 guitars that can supposedly be used on the PS3 via an adapter, but I need to look further into this. I already have 8 guitars, so obviously I would like to avoid buying another.

    So, that's it. I didn't think it was anything worth getting excited over, but BEN suggested I write a chronicle about it, so there you go. I'll write an updated chronicle when I get some hands-on time with my new toy, as well as drop my PSN ID for anyone who cares to add me.

    I have to disagree with you Ben. The reason why people (at least this is how I feel) have chosen the 360 over the PS3 is because the lack of interesting PS3 only games.

    Sure they have MGS4 and LittleBigPlanet and a few good PSN downloads, but I'm not about to spend my money on a PS3 to buy those few of games.

    Every game on the PS3 I want is already available on the 360 Very Happy

    I love how when I suggest a Chronicle, people like to mention that I did so, haha. It makes me look desperate, yes, but you will all thank me when you have a detailed story of all your gaming adventures someday Laughing

    Also, I never thought I'd see the day, but congratulations on the PS3 pickup Brandon. I bet you'll be followed by many, so way to be a trendsetter!

    I'll also look forward to your added insight on the PS3 side of things around this community for sure...let's hope this gets our PS3 conversations fired up even more!

    I've been thinking of doing the same. There are some exclusives that i've really wanted to play (god of war, uncharted, Valkyria chronicles, killzone, resistance) But i cant help thinking that i'll buy one play the occasional exclusive and at the end of the day it will be a fancy blue ray player.

    Ill be interested in how it works out for you.
