1. Today's adventure: I go to the Asian grocery store

   Today started out like any other day. I woke up, took a shower, and went outside to face the world. I needed to hit the bank first, and get some monies, so I did that. Realizing I had nothing else to do today, I went over to the nearby Asian grocery store to see what they had to offer.
   
   I bought some random snacks and drinks, and am currently enjoying some Lychee juice. I'm not entirely sure what lychee is, but it's good. The drink is weird though. The smell coming from it doesn't smell good to me, but the taste is much lighter and it's pretty good stuff. Before you ask, no, it's not expired or anything. I checked.
   
   I also bought a mandarin orange drink, though I haven't tried it yet, a few bowls of instant noodles, and a bag of shrimp chips. Yes, shrimp chips. Opening the bag, you get smacked in the face by the smell of fish, which I wasn't expecting. The chips themselves are more like pretzel twists rather than regular potato chips too. When you first pop them in your mouth, you don't taste anything. About a second later though, you get hit with a somewhat sweet taste, that doesn't leave an aftertaste. These are actually very good aside from that fish smell.
   
   So anyway, just thought I'd share a random tidbit from today. I'm going back next time and get even more random stuff. It's kind of fun seeing what other cultures have to offer in the food department, even if it is shrimp chips. They had tofu snacks too, which I passed on for today, but I want to try them eventually.
