An odd exchange
Player Chronicle -- Posted on Mar 06 2009
If you read my most recent chronicle, you know my new Guitar Hero World Tour guitar controller died unexpectedly. I had to wait until yesterday for them to get a replacement, which was kind of annoying, but it's cool. I'm a patient person.
So I get there, and they had the replacement bundle waiting for me at the front counter. A minute later I was out the door, new bundle in hand. I have to give Toys R Us props for their speed and overall great customer service.
I get home, and open the bundle only to find that it is not a new bundle. The game had already been opened, and there were a few smudges on the guitar. Fortunately, the guitar works fine, which is all I really cared about. But get this - there were also some things in the box that shouldn't have been in there, so it was sort of like a "bonus" box. Somehow, it came with a brand new Xbox 360 headset. I was absolutely stoked about this since I broke mine about a month ago. It also came with an extra pack of batteries, so that was nice too.
I don't know if someone at TRU took everything out and tested it beforehand or what, but I am happy with this little exchange, even though I'm not exactly sure of what happened.

Posted On Mar 06 2009That is odd and not something you see very often in the retail world. It sucks that your stuff wasn't new, but the bonus items make up for it I suppose
How's your Chronicle writting going lately? We still have that contest ya know?! See you tomorrow...
