Finally finished Fallout 3
Player Chronicle -- Posted on Dec 22 2008
By "finished", I mean I finally got the full 1000 gamerscore on the game, all without the use of guides or outside assistance. I was worried for a long time that I was not going to find all the bobbleheads without help, but through sheer luck, I found the final one last week.
It has been a fantastic 200 hours of playing this game. I've played through it 3 times, each time doing things a bit differently. The final runthrough I played the game in true survival fashion - no buying or selling of anything, and difficulty set to very hard. Up until level 7 or so, it was hell. Everything is much more fatal when you play like this (it is entirely possible to be killed by mole rats), but I feel the game is much more fun when you can't simply purchase good weapons, armor, and medicine.
Now that I know the game pretty much inside and out, I think I can finally take a break and play some other stuff. Last night I hooked up my NES and played some awesome games of Super C, Super Dodgeball, River City Ransom, and started the alternate quest in Legend of Zelda. I've never beaten the alt quest, but hopefully this time will yield some actual results. I will, of course, come back and play this game more in the future.

Posted On Dec 23 2008Haven't played it, but I'm sure it's quite the accomplishment! I hope thumpers92 sees this chronicle, every time I log into the PSN (at any hour) I see her playing Fallout 3!
I haven't tried any of my PS1 games on my HDTV, I'm going to have to try out Final Fantasy Chronicles now that you keep talking about the old-style games (like River City Ransom) on new equipment. -

Posted On Dec 23 2008This is a serious accomplishment. I'd like to know how many others have done this, based on your exact specifications
I doubt it's very many at all, so you should be proud and we hold you high for this fine work
