    Chrono Trigger

Surprisingly, a lot of people don't seem to know this game exists. I asked several of my friends if they've ever played it, and they had no idea what I was talking about. It's sad, really. This is one of the greatest RPG's ever made, and it was way ahead of its time.

Speaking of time, that's exactly what this game is about. The story starts with you accidentally getting sent to the past because your friend managed to make a time machine (or something like that). To be honest, it's been about 6 years since I've played the game, so you'll have to forgive the vague-ness. This should be pretty short, so it likely won't matter anyway. Throughout the story, you'll do traditional RPG stuff, like fight enemies in turn-based combat and talk to people to continue the story. The story however, is incredible for an SNES game. There are lots of plot twists, which usually require going to another point in time to deal with, and the coolest part about this is that each time period uses the same world map, but changes the terrain a bit. Towns that exist in the present don't exist in the past and vice-versa.

The music in this game is nothing short of epic. For a game that came out in the 16-bit era, it still has one of the best soundtracks to any game, ever. The art style is also incredible. Sprites are very detailed compared to other RPG's of the time, and I think Akira Toriyama (of Dragonball Z fame) conceptualized most of the characters.

I really can't explain how great the game is, but I can say it is one of the best RPG's you will ever play. Guaranteed.

Super Nintendo rocked and it blew my mind after already falling in love with the original NES!

Yes, simply, yes. The best game, ever. And for people viewing this, Akira Toriyama did all of the original character concepts. When I get this game on the 25th (it's coming out for the DS) expect a FULL review from me.
