  1. Dynafire GoG game night 10/15 - CoD4

Player Chronicle -- Posted on Oct 16 2008

Last night was GoG game night, and though it got cut a little short, we still had a good time with Call of Duty 4.

None of us had really played the game much since the last CoD4 game night (about a month ago), so we were amazed that we were actually doing pretty well. I took a different approach to the game, as I used to just rush into battle with my M4 and empty a clip at people. This time I tried ghosting – that is, I used a silenced G3, a silenced pistol, and had UAV jammer as my 2nd perk, making me invisible on radar. It definitely puts you in a more tactical mindset, but once you take time to adjust, you are an unstoppable killing machine. On numerous occasions, I was able to get behind enemy strong points and get a ton of kills. I even had enemies run right by me and not take notice.

I officially love the G3 now. With proper use, it can stretch your ammo farther than any of the assault rifles, as it is semi-auto. I also used it to finish off a helicopter in a game once. The iron sights on the gun take a bit of getting used to, but once you do, the G3 is pretty easy to aim with.

After a while, Ben had some friends come over, so we ended up calling it a night early. RyuBlitz and I decided to play some Rock Band 2 afterwards, though.

That’s about it. I also figured out that I enjoy Call of Duty 4’s multiplayer over Halo 3’s, and I’ll explain why in the next chronicle.

Yeah, I've been enjoying the quiet elements of CoD4 alot, especially with that projector I've been rocking this week. Sorry once again, for bouncing around a lot last night, but we'll have to put some more games like this together soon!
