Shark Bite!

Alright well this is a little late cronicle that happened over spring break. I went to Florida with my family over spring break and we stayed on an island in the Keys called Pigeon Key, now every night off the end of the 100 ft peir we would throw out some cut up fish on hooks onto the bottom and wait for sharks to come. If you check my profile you will see some of the sharks we caught including a stingray that I had managed to bellyhook. Well I was reeling it in like a shark but I noticed it was just stayin on the bottom and didn't want to come off the bottom which isn't normal shark behavior, normally they just gun it and take off into shallow water but this just stuck to the bottom. After 10 minutes I managed to pull it up to the dock but to my surprise it was a 25 lb stingray and it was about 2 ft wide and probably 4 ft long from tip to tail. Well we had a little dilemma, either (A) we pull it up on the dock and try to take the hook out without being hit by the barb. (B) cut the line dont worry bout the hook and let it go or (C) get someone that lives on the island to help us with it. So we get Kelly the marine biologist that lives on the island to help take the hook off. As he started walking out on the pier I saw a big shadow swim by the end of the pier then it doubled back and swam by again on the 3rd swing around it took a left and attacked my stingray I had on the end of my line. It was a 9-10 ft bull shark that was hungry . So when it attacked my stingray my rod doubled over and the shark and ray floated under the pier out of sight. When I was finally able to get the stingray from under the pier I reached down and grabbed my steel leader and pulled it up on the dock, --> just check my pictures to see what I pulled up

I'm glad you wrote this, because it's cool for us to read, but also nice that you've got this story documented in your Chronicles
