1. Halo: Reach Beta: First Impressions

   Two hours. It took two hours to download this Beta. It really cut into our play time. But hanging out with siblings and my dad was cool. we ate pizza, talked comic books, and had a two hour long debate about whether or not Jem is just a cartoon rip off of Charlies Angels. (Its not, Btw)
   
   But eventually, after technical difficulties, we finally downloaded the Beta and got to playing. I knew going in that i was gonna get butchered by ppl who have already been playing this for days. And i wasnt disappointed. I was made un-alive in a myriad of fun and interesting ways. (my bro still seems concerned that the Beta was possibly hacked.)
   
   But after the initial learning curve we started to really hold our own. I even lead my team in kills a few times. It wasnt until later that i realized we couldve customized the controls to make them more familiar, but o well, i still had fun and did fairly well.
   
   I like the levels and the whole power-up system. The whole thing took getting used to though. And im not altogether certain how effective the Stalkers cloaking is, but it helped a little.
   The levels seem a little small though. Not quite as epic as Valhalla or the Pit. But they were still lots of fun and easy to get lost in. At least until you know your way around.
   
   Overall, i loved this Beta. Sure i consistantly got my ass handed to me, and i'd like to think this is just because im not good and not because ppl are cheating, but who cares. I got in some capture the flag and lots of slayer. I had a great tie with this and i crave more! LoLz I cant wait for the finished product to come out!

   I understand your pain with the "forever download". And there tend to be hackers... I found out, if you get close enough to somebody with a charged plasma pistol, if you hit them just right and tap the B button as fast as you can... you automatically get an instant kill; you don't even see the smack. *Lord forgive me for using this glitch, amen*

   That's an oddly long time for the download. You must be on dial-up, haha!
   
   Anyways, I too have enjoyed this beta experience and we'll have to get on XBL together soon. The party system is especially nice, as you're automatically notified as to who all is online that you can play with!
   
   This game is going to be yet another great experience in the Halo phenomenon! Thanks for your initial thoughts and keep us updated on your more detailed opinions, as you continue to rock Halo Reach Beta...
