1. MaTrIx Goes Shopping...NOT!

   So Sunday morning after work I decide to go hunting for a PS3, God of War 3 and Heavy Rain. On Sunday, the WORST possible day to drive the freeway between Las Vegas and California. Lots of morons out there on Sunday...lol.
   
   7am - I'm sitting in the parking lot at Target on Eastern and Silverado Ranch. It doesn't open until 8am. Good thing I have my bad ass Nokia N900 with me. I surf the interwebz to pass the time, including checking the Arkham Asylum 2 website, no updates yet Other than I stick with youtube and watch vids of the ultra violent game that I CAN'T WAIT to get my hands on...GOD OF WAR 3!!! And yes, I have played the first two.
   
   I look up in time to see someone unlocking the doors. I grab my shotgun and go pwaystation hunting. I hit the movies first thinking the PS3 is secure in the game case, there was 3 in it last time I was in here...2 weeks ago. When I finally get over to the case its empty! No worries, I put back the two movies I picked up and walk back to the truck. Time to check Wal Mart.
   
   8:30am - Out of the truck straight inside to electronics. I strike out again...NOTHING. Back to the truck. Before getting back on the road I go to the end of the shopping center to see if the Gamestop in this area is open...NOPE!! Back to the road!
   
   9am - I pull into the parking lot of another Target, right across from Sunset Casino and Galleria Mall. I walk in, straight to electronics. STILL NOTHING! I'm starting to get irritated. Time to jump back into the truck, a few blocks away there is another Wal Mart with a Best Buy right across the street...DOUBLE WHAMMY!
   
   9:30am - The Wal Mart on Sunset and Marks may be my best bet, whenever I have been here it has never been busy. NOT THIS DAY! I should have brought some water for the hike to electronics in this store. Its WAAAAY in the freaking back. I get there and start poking around. Not one PS3 to be found. My irritation level is now at 50% of max. On to Best Buy!
   
   9:30am - I pull into the parking lot and do a drive by of the doors, it doesn't open until 10am. I sit and wait. Back to youtube on my N900 to watch more vids, which only increases my irritation, that makes me think I have somehow pissed off the geek gods and they are now torturing me since I can't find a PS3 *insert angry smilie*
   
   Oh...Best Buy is completely sold out as well. They have a ton of Wii's, 360's, PSP's, PS2's but no PS3's. My irritation level is now 75% of max.
   
   10:30am - I pull into the HUGE parking lot of the Galleria Mall. I walk in and go straight to the Gamestop that I know is in here. Doesn't open until 11am...WTF?! Luckily one little food stand inside was already open. I get a large Coke and go sit down outside for a cigarette, irritation level back down to 35% of max
   
   Checking my cash I notice this blue card. I pull it out...DUH! I'm a member of Sams Club...HELLOOOOO! Yes, I am a neophyte member Back to the truck!
   
   11:15am - I flash my Sams Club card to the gentleman standing at the door. I start looking for the games. Just one little problemo, they totally switched everything around since I was in here the time! I don't know where anything is! After looking for 15 minutes I finally find the game. No PS3's though! Then I remember they keep all their high end stuff in a locked case up front. I find the case...not one PS3. Back to the truck and on to Gamestop at the end of the shopping center. I walk in and first thing I ask is...Do you have ANY PS3's. The little dude says they are sold out...at ALL the Gamestops in town! He checks the computer, the closest one in Fort Irwin, Ca he says. Which he says is by some city, apparently he doesn't his geography because Ft. Irwin is an army base 30 minutes outside of Barstow, California. There is no way I'm driving an hour and half the other way. I lick my wounds and head home. He hands me a card before I bounce out the door. On my way home I remember that Ma and Pa MaTrIx are going to town in the morning. Perhaps a ray of light?
   
   Monday - 12:00pm - Dad calls, Gamestop didn't get any PS3's with their shipment. Sams Club didn't, Wal Mart didn't, still no one has them. They deposit my $800 in the bank. I ask my dad, so the money IS IN the bank? He says that it is. I head straight to the computer and get amazon and order everything I couldn't find in town.
   
   In a few days my PS3, God of War 3 and Heavy Rain will be here! Not to sound like a sellout but I can't wait to play it. I just wish there was shipping faster than one day

   That'll teach to shop in stores, haha. I enjoyed tracking your Irritation Level throughout this play-by-play adventure
