  1. MLG Meadowlands Day Two Continued

Player Chronicle -- Posted on Apr 10 2009

So if you’re following along, you’re aware that we just woke up from a one hour nap and have now committed to another exciting day of MLG Meadowlands Very Happy

The Open Loser’s Bracket had started to come to a close and with the longest day of games getting underway, it was so cool to see the event in full swing. The pro teams had started their games on Friday night, but today there were a lot more important games to be played. Status Quo had a few rough patches, including a tough lose on Main Stage to Final Boss, but came out of the day’s matches alright, while Team Foxy was unfortunately eliminated after their second game. Other teams had some great wins and a few had some devastating defeats, but overall, the vibe of this event was all fun.

It’s always interesting to see such a large crowd of participants start to dwindle down as the tournament continues to take its toll, but it’s also cool to see the quality of play increase to the highest level as the remaining teams do battle!

This second and most action-packed day was great and with all the excitement, the 1 hour of sleep I had enjoyed so much was simply a thing of the past…until I came home for the evening, lol.

I had wanted to hang out with some friends and do some more MLG-style partying, but when I came home, ordered room service, and saw the Final Four was on TV...the need for sleep took over. I heard Team Foxy went into NYC (let’s hear about that girls!) and most of the pros were resting up for the big games on Sunday, so although I may have missed a few drinks and some good times I’m sure, Day 2 of MLG Meadowlands was nothing but a treat.

I fell asleep, excited to enjoy Championship Sunday when I woke up…
