For the past few months I've been learning java so that I can build a scalable game engine. To that end, I've been building a massively multiuser chat client/server which I just got working this afternoon. Yay! It's ugly but all the key concepts are there so now I'm ready to use what I've learned to spend the weekend wading into game engine construction. r0xx0r!

Posted On Sep 05 2007What kind of game engine are we talking about? I would be interested in contributing to your project, but my skills lie with .NET and DirectX. Neither of which are very Java-friendly to my knowledge.
