Gamer Bio:
I remember playing Atari in the 80s but it all really started with RBI Baseball on Nintendo and of course Super Mario Brothers & Duck Hunt. Learning how to shoot a duck down was exhilarating as an 8 year old. Once my parents divorced, we left FL & moved to VA and left our Nintendo behind. So, I didn't really get back into gaming until High School, when I got into PC gaming. Starting with Mindsweeper & Solitaire (I really didn't know how to play Solitaire until I played it on the PC first). And I'm not just talking about playing a game or two, I'm talking about playing for a few hours a day. Then, with the horrible invention of Windows98, I started playing Pinball. Finally ready to move on and buy a real game, I bought Sim City 2000. From there I moved on to Age of Empires and finally Quake. I've put in endless hours in Age of Empires and all the versions that superseded it. Quake was the first game that got me online. I was so amazed at how many people were online playing the same game I was. I think it was at this point when my sisters started calling me the "CN" (ComputerNerd). A title that I proudly wear to this day.
I left PC gaming behind when I met my husband. He brought me back to console gaming, though I did play endless hours of Bond007 when I was in college with my roommates on the Nintendo64. My husband normally gets the gaming consoles as soon as they come out. When I met him, he had the Sega Dreamcast (the fishing game was pretty fun!), the Playstation & the Xbox. So I got to play all of them and enjoyed the convenience of console gaming.
Early 2007, as I was trying to get through the Lost Planet campaign on Xbox 360, I realized how awful the campaign was. So, I hopped online and created an account called LadyLiliBean and activated my 30-day trial. Online proved to be where the REAL fun was at. The trash talking, the tea bagging, the noobies, the dance the guy would do after he killed someone, it was all so overwhelming and terribly addicting. I was hooked and it's been downhill ever since!
In the real world, I'm going back to school in January to work on my Master's in Education from the University of Georgia. I'm in the middle of an early mid-life crisis and changing careers to work in Technology Education, which is where my heart truly is. My undergrad degree was in Computer Graphics from George Mason University.

Posted On Apr 21 2010This week we've really cleaned up the Elite Squad for this growing video game community!
That valuable E is associated with your profile around the entire website, so live up to your status as a leader and let's continue to build this community into what we all want.
The team is not ordered in importance, but the lower listed folks are the least active and may be removed when we have another update. If you're one of these friends, let's see you pick it up and jump back into the GoG head first!
Bios have also been optimized for length and the page structure, so check those updated bios out as well. Here's the Elite Squad page, which can also be accessed on the homepage and in the footer of every GoG page:
