Alright, alright, 3rd rate international actor. Jean-Claude Van Damme's been in some bad ones folks. In fact, a lot of super bad ones (Street fighter was to movies, as E.T. was to Atari 2600), but this new movie about the "dark ages" in his life looks redeemable.
From the limited looks I've gotten of the film, it looks as if Van Damme could actually salvage a career with it. I've never been too much of a fan of his (Blood Sport excluded because, ya know... it was alright) but the man with the full contact fighting record of 18 K.O.'s and 1 loss is giving his last shot at redemption on the big screen. I can honestly say in full confidence that if able I will go see this movie... and probably even pay $9 to do it.
