1. How to write a Chronicle...? And what is it exactly?

   Chronicle - history: a record or narrative description of past events; i.e. "a history of France".
   
   What do I have to Chronicle about when it comes to gaming? I suppose this site will help me to answer that question.
   
   I always thought of myself as a casual gamer until I ssaid so to my husband the otehr day. He balked, saying" Casual gamers don't boot up their old PCs and download a copy of Windows 95 so that they can obsessively play Gabriel Knight 1 on 5.25" floppies." (This was a pretty recent experience.) "Casual gamers don't spend 80 hours getting to the middle of Final Fantasy XII with no intention of quitting the game." "Casual gamers don't obsessively call the EB Games to find out when the Wiis get in so that they can send their unemployed spouses out to meet the delivery vans when they arrive."
   
   So, perhaps I'm not the causal gamer I thought I was... but still, I don't know that the way I play games or my mini-obsessions with them are of much interest to anyone beyond myself.
   
   Perhaps I am wrong and that's what this community will help me discover.
   
   Or perhaps I am being too literal with the whole "chronicle" idea in the first place.
   
   Time will tell.
   
   Or perhaps someone else will tell.

   We're always a little surprised when we get a glimpse of how the world sees us, aren't we? Don't worry. For what its worth, you sound like a casual gamer to me... but my definition includes a liberal amount of obsession ... As long as one still manages to feed oneself, and occasional online ramblings don't become venomous, raging rants, then the "casual gamer" tag can still apply.
   
   Now, whether that's a good thing or not is probably something you'll have to discover for yourself. In the words of Groucho Marx: "...I wouldn't want to belong to any club that would have someone like me as a member...? ...Or to put it another way, its that feeling of : " I know why I play games, but why do they play games?"
   
   So just keep having fun. ...and welcome to the "community".

   lol...love the first Chronicle and I think you've got the right idea for sure
   
   Use this space however you'd like, but also be aware that people can comment/rank the posts and our Top 25 Chronicles are listed for all to admire.
   
   I like to think of these as a place to document, comment, review, rant, and rave about everything I do that is gaming. I'll look for another chapter to drop soon
