1. Getting Into Youtube...I'm Insane

   Yesterday I placed an order for an HD PVR recording device. It is a high quality, high definition capture card. The reason I ordered this is because I have decided to get into the world of Youtube video game commentaries!
   
   I am really looking forward to this but at the same time I realize how crazy this could be. I already have a spot on another channel to post my videos, it is no Machinima but it is better than my three subscribers that I have on my current channel. (thanks DF and ZMaine)
   
   I already have three Guitar Hero and Rock Band videos up but I will be removing those when my HD PVR arrives. Besides, the HD PVR I will need a few other pieces of equipment.
   
   I will need an external hardrive to store these videos on so I don't take up to much space on my computer. I will need editing software but if I read correctly the HD PVR comes with software. I already have component cables for my Xbox 360, but I will need to get some for my PS3 so I can record gameplay from that as well. Thankfully I have a pair of Triton AX720s so I will probably use those to record the voice over for my gameplays.
   
   I will probably be picking up a few new games as well for both my personal enjoyment, but also I want to be able to record gameplays for these games as well.
   
   Besides these new games, I will be recording videos for MW2, BFBC2, Halo 3, some retro games such as CoD4, CoD:WaW, and maybe some single player games if I get any requests to do these kinds of games.

   Good luck with this venture my friend. You might also want to share this feed live, with sites such as Justin.tv. I'll bump over to your YouTube channel right now to subscribe and know I hope you realize you'll be in charge of capturing our GoG games
   
   Also, on the video editing software, are you using a Mac or PC? Free software may work, but better video editing software will save you a lot of time with these videos you're working to produce.
