  1. Im Marksman Army of TWO: The 40th Day

Player Chronicle -- Posted on Jan 17 2010

I loved the first Army of TWO so much that I had to rent the sequel and beat it as well. First I will start with a small list of complaints that I have with this game.

    1. Not enough guns to choose from
    2. The sprint system is like Gears, except worse. It's very hard to turn while sprinting.
    3. Picking up your partner is difficult to do because the button A is also sprint.
    4. Honestly, the plot sucks, I mean it's just extremely confusing what your actually working towards.

Now besides for these small complaints, the game is amazing. Having almost all of the features that are included in the first Army of TWO plus some cool new features. A new feature that was added is the ability to take people hostage or use them as a shield. You can do this by hitting the Left Bumper. Also if you take a Captain hostage you can force the privates to put down their guns and surrender. Another amazing feature is the ability to choose your path in-game. Some choices you make will affect the certain aspects later in the game. So the game can change all the time with the choices you make, making the play through even more fun after the first time.

The first Army of TWO was developed and published by Electronic Arts. BUT Army of TWO: The 40th Day was developed by EA Montreal and published by Electronic Arts. EA Montreal added way better graphics into this game and many more customizations that can be added onto the limited choice of guns you are given.

I don't want to tell you everything that you can now do, it would ruin the surprise Wink Even with the confusing plot it is still an amazing game. In my opinion I think the plot makes sense, but it takes some time to understand it. I'll save you some time, basically, the world is going to ****. Terrorist attacks are everywhere and it's your job to survive it, while helping out the people you run into. If you have a buddy that you love to play co-op games with then this game is a must have.

All together I give this game a 4.7/5. Also if you plan to play this game on the highest difficulty, don't expect an easy ride!

I haven't tried the multi-player yet, for this game I stayed strictly to the campaign.

Great review! I played the heck out of the demo and really enjoyed it, but just couldn't bring myself to purchase it - I may rent it though!

So, how's the multi-player? I saw you can have an "army of four" in multi-player mode, have you tried that? Any good?
