1. GOG 5,000!

   So I literally just made it back to Texas yesterday from the GOG 5,000 and I should have been home Sunday night lol. It's Tuesday! I will begin this chronicle on a light note and work my way to the reality of the trip. So I flew into Iowa on Friday night,settled in to the hotel and got some McDonalds -went to bed early so I had energy for Saturday night. Saturday I slept in then headed to The Lime Lounge which was epic fun,met a lot of fellow gamers,played the Wii,took pictures in the photobooth,and had a few cold drinks.We then headed to Cyber Ops for some LAN/Live gaming. This was the most fun I have had in forever!!!!! GREAT PEOPLE! Good fun,lot of energy and excitement.Wish I could play that whole night over again,honestly-We had pizza a lot of Bawls,and laughed A LOT! Got back to the hotel about 8 in the morning and knocked out.
   
   Here is where the fun begins,Sunday we missed our flight there wasn't another one till Monday afternoon-(I had an abcess tooth I had been dealing with all weekend that the pain increased A LOT-I was lacking sleep all weekend as well and knew Monday morning it had to be taken care of)
   
   So Monday morning I went to the dentist got my tooth extracted picked up some Vicodin and went to the airport to find out I missed another flight.So we took the next one.It was delayed for some reason so we ended up having to miss our Chicago connection to Houston.We were like whatever lets fly to Chicago anyway.The steering in our plane broke and we had to wait for that to get fixed which mind you wasnt the reason for the initial delay,this was just another one lol.So we had a SKETCHY landing in Chi-town is was SOOO scary,and we stayed at the Hilton at O'Hare,LIKE A BOSS! Next morning was our flight to Houston.Ate breakfast,went to airport MISSED THE FLIGHT!!!!!! Got another plane out and FINALLY MADE IT HOME....GOOD GRIEF..ARE YOU SERIOUS?? LOLLOLOLOL! WHAT A DISASTER.There are so many other things to say,I mean we met randomn gamers at the airport,in taxis back and forth from missed flights at the airport,we took tons of pictures we will post soon and had the most randomn events take place that I wouldn't trade for the world.Did the weather suck? Yes. Was the airport deal stressful? Yes. But did I meet the best kids in the world,have an amazing time,and gain more memories in 4 days than I can remember gathering in a long time,you bet!!!!
   
   Thanks to everyone who went,took the time to introduce themselves and play games.
   
   Thanks to Ben for all his hard work making this event take place and the help he had was also incredible and appreciated(his lovely,hospitable,(personality is so much like me in so many ways-I adore her) wife! Zack,you were great as well- thanks for being so amazing! Marksman-You dolly boy you.I love our pictures, I am so framing them!
   
   If I can do this with the same group and new faces twice a year I will be a happier gamer lol.
   
   Cyber Ops was awesome,the staff were great people,the ten year old who cussed ruled,and reminded me of myself lol.
   
   Hopefully whoever was responsible for taking the games return them,don't be a butthole and ruin other GOG events from being held there please return it!
   
   So I realized this weekend that Gathering of Gamers can be broke down into other things,

   I LOVE ALL OF YOU! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR AN INCREDIBLE JOURNEY AND I HOPE YA'LL STAY IN TOUCH!! IKE YOU ARE A DOLLY! THANKS FOR ALL YOUR KIND WORDS! P.S TO SOLVE THE WHAT DID SHEJUST SAY ABOUT DONKEY BALLS COMMENT IT WAS THAT THE KIDS I WAS PLAYING WITH ON H3 SUCKED DONKEY BALLS- I WASN'T GETTING ANY HELP FROM THEM AT THE TIME LOL,.I WAS TIRED OF CARRYING THEM IN MY SPARTAN BACKPACK.ALSO I HAD THE BEST GAME OF MY LIFE AT CYBER OPS AND WENT FROM A 1-5 ON MY NEW ACCOUNT PLAYING MLG THERE SO WHOOP WHOOP!    This was no doubt on of the best Gatherings of all time. I had a great time watching you play H3, it is hilarious to see your reaction when you kill people, or not kill them Call of Duty was rough in the beginning because of a few consoles not being able to connect, but was fixed after an hour or so. I'm not sure if it's possible to lag out in a LAN, but somehow, we did it. The music and mario at the Lime Lounge was amazing and our party pictures there were great! I'm still trying to figure out how to put all my pictures into one frame Let's not forget to thank Wolvatron from Elemental Designs also! The sounds coming from the VIP room were rockin! Also the GoG speaker box looked hot!
   
   Hopefully this won't be the last big event! Everyone needs to work on bringing in more and more members because 10K is just around the corner!

   Plane delays suck, especially when it is Memphis Tennessee and the only thing on T.V. in the airport is about Micheal Jackson lol, sounds like a crazy trip. I didn't know a flight trip could be that crazy
   
   also about the Bawls for Cyber Ops, I'm going to have to stick with John from the MW2 LAN, I refuse to think anything named Bawls tastes good

   Haha sounds like a hoot. How the hell did you miss so many flights though? lol Aw well, the best times of my life are the times when i got delayed or lost. lol Plus, Vicodin makes everything better. ^_^
