Well what can I say......
as far as manic shmups go this is right up there, has to be seen to be believed......total eye candy and some of the best gameplay on any shmup ever created on any format. The learning curve is steep, level one lulls you into a sense of false security, level two, yeah those palms are sweaty now. You ice the big bad boss and heave a sigh of relief.....Oh no...level three - what the f*%$, never seen sprites move so damn fast, its going pear shaped, blam, another credit, you only get five......level four, double oh no, it's gone bad again beads of sweat dripping onto controller, if only I can make it to the next boss, this mofo takes a full credit to beat......level five, you thought 3&4 were hectic, last life on last credit......will I ever Icc this on normal level, probably not. I play this on hard to hone my skills for later levels but this is still one tough cookie, always has me coming back for more........Do yourself a favour and buy a Saturn if you don't already own one (or PSX if you must, though it's an inferior iteration due to graphical limitations in 2-d) and learn to love gaming all over again......Pheweee, what an adrenaline rush.......Lets chill out with some Ikaruga.....
To sum up, if you love a challenge that tests every reflex and will blind you with gorgeous graphics, this is the one ! Only for the hardcore.
