  1. Gvirus05 Indiana Jones and the EPIC FAIL

Player Chronicle -- Posted on May 28 2008

So I went and saw Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. So....Holy s**t, I hated it. I'll try not to spoil anything for people who still haven't seen it yet.

First of all, Harrison Ford still has it. Even in a crappy movie like this, he can still act his way through it.

The beginning of the movie starts off like it'd be exciting, then soon becomes ridiculous. All I will say is, he survives a freaking atomic bomb, whatever.

The middle of the movie doesn't hold much excitement. Some fights here and there that don't last long and don't hold much relevance. It basically has Indy...oh wait...he only goes by Henry is this movie. Yeah WTF? Well, it has Henry Jr trying to find his lost friend and solve the riddle of the crystal skull.

The end of the movie gets a little more exciting, there is a long fight through the jungle which could have been cool, but I felt some special effects were over done. Also, some parts of that fight were cheesy and very very unrealistic.

Okay okay, so here is the end of the movie. The riddle is solved, there are some cheesy lines that I just have a feeling George Lucas had some influence with, and there is an overwhelming feeling of disappointment. I pulled my hood over my face and didn't want to be seen leaving that movie.

This movie could have been good. Let's look at what went wrong. CHEESY CHEESY CHEESY lines/events. If we ever go into nuclear war, a refrigerator is the last place I'd try to survive in....yeah. The fights were short and meaningless. The crystal skull should have been replaced with a biblical artifact. 'Raiders' and 'Crusade' were the best two Indy movies, and they revolved around biblical stories and events. This one deals with something that totally opposes the existence of God, so how can the stories co-exist? Also, why the hell did he not want to be called Indy or Indiana? It was just weird watching the movie and hearing him go by Henry. The last gripe as and Indy fanboy...the whip was barely used. That's right, the token weapon of the whole franchise was barely ever used.

Well those are my thoughts whether you like them or not.

    PEACE!

I didn't think it was as bad as Greg says it is, but then again, I haven't seen the other ones.
