1. Mario Kart Wii...Family fun?

   Mario Kart Wii...Family fun? Unless you live in my house the answer is yes! Why do I say no? Ha ha ha, let me tell you.
   
   Mario kart has always been a staple in my household. From battling my sister to racing my mother, Mario Kart holds fond family memories. Well not anymore!
   
   This all started back on the GCN with Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
   My mother would play this game while I was at work or school. She got good, I mean really good. She would pwn me and my friends. I eventaully gave up, I didn't really care for Double Dash!! anyways.
   
   Now, Mario Kart Wii is nothing short of amazing. It feels new while holding on to some great nostalgic moments. (Especially with retro tracks). Now I'm not going to review this game (my friend and fellow GoG member Zmaine already has a chronicle doing so). I'm just going to talk about my experience racing my mother. When I first got this game, I played it a good 6 hrs before I let my mother even attempt it. So, eventually I let her try it out. She pwned me like a nubcake at a 1337 kid's birthday party. I was purely astonished.
   
   I still continue to race my mother, simpley because this game rules. I've only beaten her about 40% of the time.
   I decided to let her play online. We entered a match with a player from Japan that ranked 2000 pts above me! Guess what happened? MY MOTHER GOT FIRST! (I got 7th...)
   
   Now I know how my friends felt when I would pwn them on Gears of War. Zmaine knows now how it feels when he pwns his friends on GH3. Anyway...
   
   So what are my impressions? Mario Kart Wii is a great multiplayer game, a great family game, and one of the greatest Wii games to date. In my opinion, it is the best Mario Kart since Super Mario Kart on the SNES.
   
   So if you're looking to have a great time with friends or family, go grab this game...unless you're coming to my house.

   My best memories of Mario Kart was with Double Dash! I would spend hours playing that with my friends.

   That took guts, my friend. Not many of us would have the nerve to confess a history parental beatings like that.
   
   If I may be so bold; shake things up a bit.... secretly download a decidedly different "Kart Racing" game from www.arctic stud.com. If you like it, I'll gladly send you a free KEY to unlock the full game. Once you're confident that you can dominate, you can challenge your mom and (pardon my french) kick her butt ten ways from Sunday!
   
   You may not win back your self respect, but you could at least win enough cash to make you feel like a productive member of society again.
