1. DSi and other things

   Well I guess it has been a long while since I've even logged onto this site. I've mostly been busy playing games and looking for a new job.
   
   First of all, I got my hands on the new DSi. To describe it in short, it's like a hand-held Wii. The menu is very similar with channels, you can use a SD card to store games and such, and there is a download service very similar to the Wii's virtual console. The only thing I have downloaded was the opera browswer for portable internet, it was free. The cool thing is, if you log onto the DSi's download service before October, you get 1000 free nintendo points. Nintendo points are replacing the Wii points and can be used for the Wii or DSi. There are some games available for download on the DSi but I have yet to try any of them. Other cool features include the camera, photo editing, music, and music editing. Have not tried the music yet but looking forward to once I get my SD card.
   
   Other news:
   
   I've obtained and beaten Resident Evil 5 multiple times. Overall the game is a great addition to the action genre. The story ties up some things with Chris Redfield's storyline. I was disappointed with the game going towards more of an action style than survival horror, and also some story related things need to be addressed. I can't go into detail without spoiling the end. Mercenaries mode is a lot better than RE4, because it can be co-op! Running around to extend your time limit and surviving on limited ammo makes Mercenaries mode more survival horror than the actual campaign! Overall I'd give this game a 9.0 for action but a 7.0 for the Resident Evil franchise.
   
   Otherwise I hope to get back into the GoG game nights and start contributing to the community again. This thurs-friday I will be traveling with a friend (aka Braden321) to the des moines area to look for jobs and maybe a place to move. If we have the free time we may even drop in on our friends at cyber ops.
   
   My next review will be fore a recent DS title once I get some playtime in with in. Expect a full review soon of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time

   I can't wait to get my hands on the DSi. I have some money coming up which i was gonna use for a DSi or an X-Box. I think i'll go with the DSi.
   And RE5 is way of the Survival Horror road. But who knows, maybe they'll make it work.
