So the 5,000 party is still going on right now. It was a blast to get to meet so many people from the site and to share in some gaming. I dipped out early as I've been feeling a little bit under the weather the last few days.

Overall it was a great time.

However, having my Turtle Beach wireless headset taken did kind of spoil the night for me. I was out of the room for half an hour watching some people play Rock Band. I had been letting people use my equipment all night and everyone seemed pretty honest. When I returned however my headset along with the composite avi cable, transmitter, and power supply had all been disconnected and were no where to be seen.

To me this suggest dis-honesty simply because the set was hooked up to my x-box and it would be pretty unlikely someone would confuse equipment hooked up to someone elses xbox their own. But of course I could be mistaken. People do make mistakes all the time.

So if anyone knows where the headset is please get a hold of Ben or myself here on the site. It would mean a lot to me to have it returned.

I can really only speculate what may or may not have happened. Hopefully the person responsible will come forward without any more posturing from the community. We are hoping that it was just a mistake and the party(ies) involved will come forward.

If not, I think I have a good enough idea how to approach the situation with law enforcement if it comes to that. I have pictures of almost everyone that was in that room at some point in time and most people I can track down to profiles and what not. I've had to work with local law enforcement on another investigation before and while it takes time, they do get results.

Hopefully though, it doesn't come to that. Hopefully it was just a case of mistaken property. Thanks for all the well wishes guys.

No Bueno, man. Were there any party crashers there? Anybody you might not know? It would be a bummer if someone from this commmunity puposefully took it.

Thanks for all your help with the LAN setup Will. Your troubleshooting with that software update idea was huge.

Also, we hope it was an accident and one of our GoG friends just grabbed these Turtle Beach headphones, but if we're going to have problems like this, these events won't be as fun or as often. Don't ruin the fun for so many great people...RETURN WILL'S HEADPHONES IMMEDIATELY.
