Never heard that song? Its by Mark Morris, go check it out. Seriously, go check it out. Anyway, I know I have been absent as of late around here. I pop in once or twice a month, usually to do the monthly releases. However, things have been hectic. First, I have my shift switched and have been working swing shift since the summer. Second, my dad started having problems back in September. For some reason or another, he was retaining fluid. It was horribly backed up in his body, almost to his lungs. He spent almost a month in the hospital from it.

He was a rockstar though, he told me to go to the midnight release for Gears 3. I went, he was texting me from his hospital room, asking me how many people were there, did I get all my stuff yet, then my favorite, thats a big gun (speaking of the Retro Lancer)! He has been home for the last few months now, the doctors STILL don't know what was wrong (AMEN!) and he excercises with small weights and walks for 15-30 minutes every day. He has gotten quite a bit of his old strength back.

I thank God everyday for my dad being home, for my family being here and for my job (more on that in a minute). Just about everyday after work I would come home and jump on facebook, or I would lock myself in my room, in a manner of speaking, and just game until 5-6 in the morning. A lot of my friends on facebook I have known for over 20 years, most are my gaming family (Dave, Katie and Wayne - CRAZY PEOPLE!). All of them folks helped more than they know. As for my job, how else would I be able to buy all these games? Or help with hospital bills? Or gas money for my dads doctors appointments?

Anyway, I guess this is just a thanks to the ones who helped my dad through that mess and to my family (real and gaming). Wink
