   I've only lived in Iowa for just under 2 years. In my first year here, I caught wind of a Guitar Hero tournament being held at the Science Center. Heck yeah! I went. While I was there I was sitting next to a fine gentleman who said to me, "hey man. Next weekend there's another Guitar Hero tournament at this place called Cyber-Ops. You wanna go?" Then he handed me this nifty card that had event details sponsored by...
   
   The Gathering of Gamers
   
   I checked out the site and thought it was pretty nifty! Didn't think much of it past then. Fast forward to the tourny. I met Ben and and the first question he asked me was, "hey man! You registered in the GoG!?" I wasn't, so he very literally took me to a computer and said, "here ya go! sign up. We're always looking for new members."
   
   Gonna bypass a lot of the details, but I will say that this has been a fantastic community filled with people like me who have a legitimate desire for video games and the ability to share that love with other people. The beauty part about the site is I'm given my own little corner to upload pictures, make new friends, and even write Chronicles (which is a far better word than blog)!
   
   I was overwhelmed when I listened to the GoGCast that my name came up that many times. I thank you GoG, I thank you BEN, and I thank the gentleman who first handed me that single flyer (I'm sorry I do no know who it was). This is a fantastic place that I hope to be a part of for a long time. A special shoutout to JackDaniels, Ticklish, and BEN who are all quickly becoming good friends of mine.
   
   As always, we (elemental designs) are looking forward to the 5,000 member party.

   Lol love the part about BEN taking you to the computer to sign up, as he did the same thing to me at the Bostons NCAA Basketball tournament. See you at the GoG 5k party, and id like to challenge you to make a sound system loud enough to keep my mom up, that is no easy task! see you around and congrats on the spotlight member, great speech

   Woot! That was great. I liked hearing about the Year One adventures of Wolvetron, lol. And Ben actually took you to a comp? Haha thats priceless! How did you do in the GuitarHero Tournament btw?
