  1. BEN Video Game Review - #MW3

Player Chronicle -- Posted on Nov 19 2011

As another Call of Duty title, Modern Warfare 3 is the only game I play.

I know many have called the CoD series the next Madden, with follow-up titles possibly feeling similiar to past games. I can see how people compare #MW3 to MW2, as much of the overall gameplay does feel familiar, but I would disagree that it's just a MW2 remake.

With new maps, new guns, added killstreaks, a new campaign (which I may never play), numerous new types of gameplay, and a few connections to past accomplishments in older CoD titles, I've really enjoyed this new CoD title.

One of my favorite aspects of #MW3, as with other big mainstream titles, is that it's neat to see friends reconnecting and people playing a common game together. Gears of War 3 and Battlefield 3 were also great shooters recently, but you don't see your entire XBL friends list playing together. #MW3 accomplishes this, which makes it hot in my mind.

I know people that salivate for brand new gaming experiences might not fully appreciate Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, but another element of #MW3 that I enjoy, is actually the sense of knowing how to play/succeed in the multiplayer environment. All I'll say, is that I can see how people think CoD is becoming a casual FPS fan's favorite game. It may be hard to be a team leader in the multiplayer environment, but it's not hard to grab some kills, stay quite, and feel good about your gameplay.

Many of my friends are already turning the page on their first prestige, but I'm happy with my level 50 after a limited time in battle. Not sure if you noticed, but I've been enjoying the #MW3 conversations on Twitter, so I decided to maintain that flavor in this short review as well.

Overall, if you like shooters or past CoD titles at all, #MW3 is easily worth $60.

Nice review, i agree with some things you said about this game, but on the other hand I also found tons of problems in the game. I should have the review up in the next couple days and we can compare our takes on the game.
