This is my 299th GoG Chronicle! I have to ponder what my 300th post will be about, so I'll have to combine two topics in this fine Chronicle of mine

So you may have seen my status update on Facebook yesterday, but I joined an elite club when I moved into a terabyte of digital data that I've collected and developed. It must be all the GoG design jobs, banners, GoGcast episodes, merchandise, photos, and videos, haha!
Anyways, I picked up a tuxedo black Seagate 1TB External Hard Drive for around $140 on newegg.com. This miniature monster will be the new foundation for all the things I do, so I'm excited that it's 4x the size of my last external hard drive.
Digital storage space has become so accessible and it seems like it'll continue to grow, while it also decreases in physical size. I realize that servers and large IT entities are already far past the Terabyte mark, but I thought I'd share the next few levels in this amazing world of computer technology...

For any of you Star Wars fans, I LOVE how "yotta"byte represents one septillion bytes, or one quadrillion gigabytes! That's epic and I have to wonder if George Lucas had this in mind when he names Yoda?! As of 2010, no system has yet achieved one yottabyte of storage.
