Player Chronicle -- Posted on Oct 24 2009

If you're a GoG member here in Des Moines, it's likely you were here at the Borderlands Release Party at Cyber ops in Ankeny, Iowa.

It was a great time and members such as Seripha, DecipherOne, Dynafire, Hobben, RyuBlitz, I Am Marksman, Dead Pixel's Ryan M. Eft, johnbiz, Silent Bob, Boobacca, a few new GoG members, and I had a great time. More highlights soon!

It was a pretty good time. Sorry I didn't take much time to chat with people, but I think the Buffalo Wild Wings afterwards made up for that. As always, it was great seeing everyone, and I'm looking forward to the next launch party or whatever so I can come up again.

It was a lot of fun and I'm glad I got to try the game out. I won't be buying Borderlands but I really enjoyed the hour or so Ben and I spent owning/running over some crazy looking dogs and monsters. Hopefully there will be a CoD MW2 Wink . Otherwise I look forward to the next party, no matter the game.

Thanks for all the stuff Ben, I plan to be filling out all of them and hand them out at to some people a DMACC, but I my buddy goes to basic training for the Army on January 20th 2010 and there are a lot of gamers in the army including my friend. So I'm hoping I can convince him to get people in the Armed forces involved. Get working on that 10K mark!

Once again, glad to meet some more GoG members and hopefully we can think of some innovative stuff to bring to the site.

We really really enjoyed having the ol' GoG gang back up. It's nice to see such a solid turnout.

We were thankful to the GoG members who've already logged tens of hours in the game helping to explain some of its nuances to the players who came up to try it out for the very first time.

Surprisingly, there was far less conversation this time around, but only because everybody was so enthralled with the game.

Hope your Buffalo Wild Wings trip was a good one! Sorry we couldn't join you.

Thanks again to all who attended.
