Losing Control of the GoG Forum
Player Chronicle -- Posted on Sep 24 2009
As you may have seen, I stooped to a pretty low level today, as JackDaniels624 has started to threaten my lead in post counts over in the GoG Forum
RyuBlitz tried to punish me, but he was smart not to push his luck and if you see the post where JD is boasting this takeover, you'll see that I kinda deserve to be punished...

As with everything around this fine community, if you have numerous people taking over things like this, it means that we've got a good thing going and I've heard you must divide in order to increase growth. I know I'm still leading the Chronicle Count (236) and Photo Uploaded Count (350+), but Dynafire, Dead Pixels, and maybe even Kupo Cakes are close behind with Chronicles. We also cheated and I bet I'll always have more GoG friends than anyone, lol
Anyways, I doubt I'll be able to keep up with JackDaniels624 in the GoG Forum, but I'm forced to make all by posts bold and green...so that has to count for something?! Nonetheless, I'll keep working to welcome and add my thoughts along with everyone else over there, even if I'm #2 now
So it can be written in stone, today's takeover in the GoG Forum occurred on September 24th, just after the 3,500th post count for each of us

Posted On Sep 25 2009Yeah I think Bob said it best! Don't give up now, keep in mind that competition IS what drives human beings to the most of their potential. So many great things have been created because someone wanted to make something better, so to all of you...BRING IT ON

Posted On Sep 24 2009If it were me, I'd take the total opposite stance. It isn't that you've been overtaken, it's just that the community has grown to a level to be self-sufficient without need for your constant input to keep current discussions alive or to put forth new topics for discussion.
Indeed, that would seem a relief. After two years, you can finally breathe a little easier and rely on the cadre of contributing community members so you can concentrate (wow - how's that for alliteration?) on other more important matters. -
