1. Chronicle #200 – “I’m Getting Married”

   That’s right folks, this week I’m leaving for sunny Palm Beach, Florida where Jodie and I will celebrate our wedding on June 25th, 2009!
   
   Both of our families are joining us in Florida for the week, then she and I are off to enjoy some time away on our honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii. As you might guess, I’m very excited to spend such a special time in paradise and look forward to sharing all our adventure at a small party back in Des Moines, when we return a few weeks later. We’ve invited a small group of family and friends to enjoy this wedding party, which will be when we can celebrate our marriage with a larger group.
   
   After dating for around 5 years and surprising Jodie in California’s Wine Country, by asking her to marry me (http://www.GatheringofGamers.com/profile.php?profile=33&action=view§ion=chronicles&chronicle_id=956) on October 31, 2008…this has been something we’ve both been waiting for and I’m so lucky and excited that it’s finally here!
   
   I must admit that I’ll miss this unique video game community and everyone that makes it so great, but I know everyone will continue to enjoy the activity around here, keep things friendly, and encourage membership growth as always. It’s kind of fun to take notes on where things are at with the website right now, and then thinking about what they might be at when I return July 6th, so surprise me and let’s push towards 4,000 GoG members this month! We’ve got plenty of eyes in the sky too, so be good GoG
   
   Anyways, I appreciate any thoughts, insight, or comments for this life-changing moment and you know I’ll bring back tons of media for you to also enjoy. Should my wedding have its own dedicated GoG profile or GoG Forum thread? lol

   I can’t think of a better way to mark this 200th Chronicle Milestone, so I’ll end there.
