Thoughts From Last Night's CoD:WaW Outage

As some of you may have experienced, the online multiplayer lobbies in Call of Duty: World at War were oddly down last night, December 1st, 2008.
You could get into a lobby, but the game just would not start. People got to talking in the lobbies and it actually presented a good opportunity to share GoG, but all the while I was thinking about the developers on the other end and what they may have been doing to fix or patch the problem?!
I have to wonder if the developing company has a huge red warning light that sounds and flashes if something is problematic within the game. Do they all have pagers like a doctor might, where they get emergency pages when something goes down? Maybe they just live at the office?!
I ended up moving along to a different game and I bet many others did the same. Although I was looking forward to trying out the Zombie-mode with a GoG friend for the first time, I jumped over and started my first single player game on A Kingdom of Keflings
