  1. BEN A Week with HD Projector and Call of Cthulhu

Player Chronicle -- Posted on Oct 13 2008

Sunday's gaming took an awesome turn for the best, when I stopped over at a friend's house to watch some NFL yesterday. We were having a good time and I noticed an original Xbox, so we had a short discussion of his games and one specifically, called "Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth".

My friend, most famously known as Mike Jones, continued to share his gaming experience that included some classics such as Atari, Intellivision, and Colecovision, but was especially excited about the experience that this original Xbox game had given him.

I text messaged RyuBlitz and Dynafire, since I was not near a computer, to make sure it was 360 compatible. Both got back to me and it was confirmed that Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth WAS 360 compatible, so I borrowed the game and here comes the best part, Mike Jones also allowed me to borrow his HD projector since it was unplugged for the moment at his place!

What does this mean? It means I got to borrow a highly referred, scary game to play on a huge projector at my place for the whole week! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
    ______

I got the projector home and with some rough wiring configurations, I got to enjoy some loud and huge Halo 3 at home. When it got darker, I threw in Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth and it was quite the fun experience. I video recorded some of the cut scenes and will try to get those online asap, so you can feel my fearful gaming experience, haha. Basically the game is a dark, Mature-rated game where the opening scene is you trying to hang yourself in an insane asylum and the game takes you back to how you got here… think cults, cops, insanity, dark, and creepy …yikes!

We also enjoyed a movie on the makeshift home theater after gaming, so this week should be full of huge versions of gaming! You’ll have to excuse me if I act a bit more excited and dramatic online this week…everything is bigger and louder in my gaming domain, so let me know if you’re hearing feedback through the microphone or if I yell too loud because it has to peak over the game’s sounds…

I'm definitely jealous. Wink Have fun playing Call of Duty 4 on that thing - there's no excuse for missing on a screen that big! :P

I'm definitely curious about Call of Cthulhu too, You'll have to let me know about it greater detail once you beat it!
