Well, this was a most interesting game I gotta say. More expensive than Winterbottom at 1200 MS, still a small price for a very short, great game. Like Braid, there is no start screen, you see your character awaken as the first thing. No story to direct or distract you, but one wonders what you are doing. Many have questioned, few actually know.

Gameplay: There's very little you can do. Move left and right, jump, push and pull and throw switches. Using these commands, you work your way through the mysterious adventure and finding out what is dangerous, and what isn't. Even reaching the end doesn't provide much of an ending to it, but it has its charm. And to note, you will die... a lot. There is a lot to die including, but not limited to, impalement, beheading, falls, drowning, bludgeoning, and being crushed.

Graphics: Really, except for the levels, there is none. All "living" things are silhouettes and only the character has two glowing white spots where his eyes are to show you which way you're facing. Not that it is needed, but is eerie and adds a nice touch to your character. Most of it is dark with little light, even some levels mostly in the dark with flickering lights only briefly illuminating your path as you strive to stay ahead of the dangers.

Sound: Very little. Footsteps, creature noises, some background effects and occasional effects showing there's danger ahead that fades out when it has passed. Little in the way of music, I rarely hear music when I get into my games, so isn't missed a whole lot, but something would be nice.

If you enjoyed Braid or Winterbottom, it is worth the buy. Not for children for sure, but goes to show you don't need fancy graphics and voice-overs to make a good game.

I was wondering what this game that was being highlighted on XBL yesterday was all about, so thanks for the short review!
