PROLOGUE - 365 Days of Animal Crossing - New Leaf

You really have to envy the Japanese at times. They truly are a population of gamers, with shops and events dedicated to almost every game that has ever been produced from within the country. The fact that Nintendo are based in Japan brings one unexpected boon that is probably overlooked and taken for granted by those lucky enough to have been born and raised there. I am, of course, referring to the release dates of games in Japan. The Japanese are always going to see a release date which pre - dates that which we see in the UK and the USA by months, and even years. Although worldwide releases are becoming growingly popular and more common, one such game that could not manage to squirm its way into the aforementioned category is Animal Crossing: New Leaf, which hit shelves in Japan on November 8th 2012. Those of you fortunate enough to be reading this from America will find the game in your stores in two days time, on the 9th June 2013. However, we humble Brits shall be forced to endure for a further 5 days, when we will finally see the game cascade into shops on June 14th 2013. With my release date rant at an end, let's discuss my plans for the next year or so. As I mentioned before, New Leaf will be with us on the 14th, but I will be holding off on beginning the game until July 3rd for several reasons.
Once I begin playing, I will aim to chronicle my daily doings as Mayor of my town in a reasonable amount of detail. I will be focusing covering the most prolific occurrences within my town in an enjoyable and compact storytelling - ish manner. I will mention:
-Construction of new buildings / public works
-Upgrades of any buildings
-Arrival/departure of any villagers
-Occurrence of special visitors
-paying off of any mortgage
-Anything else which I discover to be important as I play
Well, that's hopefully the serious and somewhat boring section over and done with.
Without further ado, I welcome you to my first piece of work on GoG, the 365 days of Animal Crossing - New Leaf!!
