Status Quo

Status Quo

Postby BEN » Tue Feb 10, 2009 1:12 pm

As another one of the original teams this video game community got involved with when they were on top of the GameBattles scene in 2008, Status Quo is a unique and seriously up and coming MLG Pro team. This year's sQ team is going to surprise a lot of people and with the Winter Wonder LAN being hosted at bobytots home a few months ago, look for a much stronger, more connected, and very real threat from this squad in 2009!

Official sQ roster for 2009 announced:
FlamesworD25, StrongSide, Ace, babytots

These guys are awesome and everyone's talking about sQ right now. They've been setting up BA LAN's with the top teams (such as Final Boss, Triggers Down, and Instinct) and I've heard they're practicing together more than most any other team!

Is this the year they consistently break into Championship Sunday (which means top 8 Pro teams to play for the money)? I think so and I know I'll be routing for these guys!

The next few weeks will surely show if Status Quo has what it takes to win Meadowlands. With LANs against fourth seeded Triggers Down, second seeded Instinct, and a LAN against Believe The Hype, sQ is really going to find out what they are made of. February is going to be an exciting month for this team!

All these LAN's will only keep allowing the team to get better AND experience the strategies of those top-notched teams. Winning Meadowlands would be MONSTROUS for this team...can you imagine?!

Hey, it looks like our buddy FlamesworD got a little press attention yesterday, with an interview from the guys at ESPN SportsNation. Pretty cool stuff...

Thanks for posting that, Ryu. He appears quite humble, a refreshing change from the 'tude we usually get from Halo competitors.

No kidding! What a cool interview and some great coverage for FlameSword and Status Quo! I especially enjoyed these two question/answers...

Cody (NY): "I've been watching some of you're gameplays and was wondering what sensitivity you play on?"

Flamesword: "Four sensitivity, default controller, and I claw with no vibration."

Lorenzo (San Diego): "What is your strongest map and gametype?"

Flamesword: "Strongest map and gametype would have to be Narrows and Capture the Flag."

I thought the questions were great and agree with Boo about Flame's humble attitude and excitement.

Not sure if you noticed, but I linked his name to his GoG profile above, if you'd like to tell him good job or what's up. I also enjoyed the shoutout to Big Joe :D

Strongside of Status Quo was featured in an exciting ESPN SportsNation chat session. Strongside took questions from the fans, so check out the great conversation and we'd like to send a big shout out to him! I personally also look forward to taking more of his money in NBA Jam, lol...

After some awesome LAN events with Triggers Down, Instinct, and Str8 Rippin...does Status Quo have any more LANs before Meadowlands planned?!

You know it's funny he said that was his favorite map and gametype. Check out this link!

haha, nice work on the win, but this doesn't look to be the current sQ OR Main Attraction team, only you, Panda, and FlamesworD playing with some other people. Am I mistaken?

Anyways, cool game video. You'll have to tell FlamesworD you posted this here and see if he has a comeback video, haha!
